Floriade 2006

Mum and I took Laura and James to Floriade on October 3rd - it's become a tradition to take loads of piccies of the kids at Floriade as it's around their birthdays and it's such a nice place to take piccies! So we can easily find photos of the kids and say this is when they were x years old! Anyway, here they are, the two of them, on the Ferris wheel, looking very much like sister and brother, if you ask me! Funny thing is that he looks bigger than her! It's almost true, too - she's only got a couple of kilos on him!

Joint birthday celebration 1st October 2006

James turned three on September 25th and Laura turned six on October 6th, so we decided to have a small party to celebrate both birthdays plus the new house, with a few rellies from Sydney and Canberra, and a couple of close friends. We were going to have this as just a birthday thing and then have a BIG housewarming a few weeks later, but we'd had quite enough stress during the year so we decided we'd just have people over as often as possible and eventually everyone will see the house!! We plan to be here for a LONG time - we put too much into it to stay for a few years and move on - so there's no rush.
