Early August

The front of the house, at a point where the steps had been demolished and the whole front yard was a mess! The front of the house was half rendered and the carport was under construction.
The back, showing much of the paving having been done (there will be garden beds, trees, lawn etc in the gaps). Hard to make out the paver colour properly as there is a lot of sand over it. The house is rendered but not yet painted.
The view from the French doors in the play room (James' old room), overlooking the back deck. Unfortunately, most of the view will probably go once the privacy screens go up! You can see the framework for that here, but we are yet to make a final decision on materials (basically it's some kind of opaque glass vs fixed timber louvres, as I understand...). Still not sure about shade/rain cover either. The deck will be tiled.
Looking back up to the deck and French doors mentioned above. The framework for the stairs is done. The stairs themselves will be in Merbau timber. The balustrade will be horizontal wires (or I guess diagonal on the stairs...) With timber railings. The landscape design shows a herb garden under the stairs - could be fairly practical I suppose.
